The Government of Quebec awards a significant grant to the ECO2 Project Quebec City, November 21, 2022 – The Fonds de diversification économique pour le territoire de la MRC des Appalaches fund has awarded SIGMA DEVTECH a significant grant for the ECO2 Magnesia project. To carry out the environmental studies required for the production of magnesium oxide with a low carbon footprint, two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) was granted to the company. This support from the Government of Quebec will enable ECO2 Magnesia to complete a strategic step, namely the environmental feasibility analysis for its plant that will produce 20,000 tonnes per year of magnesium oxide on the site of the former Carey mine in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
