With 20 years of experience in international business development and government relations, Daniel leads major industrial projects and sits on several internationalboards of directors. Since 2012, he has been responsible for leading a strategic partnership with SIGMA DEVTECH and other service providers and partners for the development and commercialisation of the ECO2 Magnesia project.
Paul Boudreault
President of SIGMA Devtech and Administrator of ECO2 Magnesia. Mr. Boudreault has 30 years of experience in the environmental, sustainable development and green technology fields. He has taken several projects to the commercialisation stage, successfully building strategic partnerships in the academic, intellectual property, industry and project finance sectors.
Kathleen Verret
Executive Vice President and Head of SIGMA Devtech's Project Office. Kathleen Verret has led the ECO2 Magnesia Project Office since its feasibility analysis in 2017. Under her leadership, the ECO2 project successfully evolved from laboratory scale to the pre-commercial phase. As an engineer, she has more than 20 years of experience in project management, strategic consulting, organisational reorganisation and market development in the fields of industrial and information technologies, in both the private and public sectors.
Mario Bouchard
Senior Advisor forGovernment Relations. Until his retirement, in 2020, Mario Bouchard was Assistant Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries and Major Economic Projects in the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation of Quebec. He also served as Associate Deputy Minister in various government ministries including Energy, Natural Resources and Finance. Mr. Bouchard advises ECO2 Magnesia's senior management on government relations.
Louis-César Pasquier
Associate Professor at the National Institute of Scientific Research (INRS-ETE).As Director of the Scientific Committee, he is responsible for all research activities related to the ECO2 project. His expertise is centered on environmental technologies associated with carbon sequestration (CO2). He is co-inventor of the ECO2 process and currently leads a research team of approximately ten scientists dedicated to the ECO2 technology.
Maxime Couillard
Director of Engineering for ECO2 Magnesia. As a specialist in industrial mineral processing, Maxime is responsible for technology and engineering operations for the magnesium oxide production plant. With over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, he has designed, commissioned, operated and optimized multiple industrial processes.
Chantal Gauvin
Director of Public Affairs. Her diversified professional background, which includes experience in the public, private and political fields, has allowed her to acquire a vast knowledge of Quebec's sociopolitical landscape. As Director of Public Affairs, she is responsible for all of the company's public communications as well as building and maintaining a network of constructive relationships with the partners, collaborators and stakeholders of the ECO2 project.
Eric Larochelle
Chief Process Engineer. With 30 years of experience, the majority of it working on industrial projects using mine tailings, he is known for his unique expertise in hydrometallurgy. He is at the origin of several innovative solutions in the context of large-scale industrial projects associated with industrial metals and minerals. He was instrumental in laying the foundation for the ECO2 process and will continue to improve the ECO2 technology.
Steeve Lafontaine
Responsible for the ECO2 Magnesiaprocessdemonstrationplant. With more than 20 years in mechanical engineering, automation and control, and process development, he is responsible for the construction,update, maintenance and operation of the ECO2 process demonstration plant.
