At ECO2, our goal is to leave the site better than we found it.

We achieve this through our decontamination technology of the waste tailings. Decontamination of the mine wastes is achieved during our process, when we apply sustained thermal heat to the tailings. Thermal heat destroys any potentially hazardous fibers, rendering the materials fully inert and clean.

The ECO2 process does not use a single hazardous product or chemical to leach and purify waste tailings.

In stark contrast to current conventional methods, ECO2 relies solely on water and CO2, what we call the “Perrier effect”. Water, heat and CO2 that is recovered and recycled.

We do not blast, mine, tear, rip, log or cut on the site. We use what is already there – millions of tons of waste, which we clean, process and give a new life to.

This all represents a dramatic process benefit and environmental benefit.
