ECO2 Magnesia is a Quebec company created in 2016 to build and operate a magnesium oxide plant. ECO2 Magnesia is the exclusive license-holder of the technology together with Sigma.

SIGMA Devtech is a private Quebec company whose mission is to develop and transfer environmental technology innovations. Since 2011, Sigma has developed the ECO2 technology together with INRS. In 2013, Sigma initiated collaboration with a strategic partner to commercialize the ECO2 technology and reduce carbon emissions in the production of magnesium oxide.

INRS-ETE is a Quebec research center with an international reputation for excellence. INRS-ETE specializes in the protection, conservation and development of natural resource technologies. INRS invented the ECO2 process. INRS is currently houses the ECO2 industrial scale demonstration plant at its state-of-the-art facilities in Quebec City’s technology park.
